Artist Statement

I designed this Zine through three programs, Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, and Illustrator. This work focuses on a particular adventure through space and space travel as a student dreams in class. The inspirations lead behind this work come directly from my families love for space and stars. Throughout the Zine, I incorporated elements of both realism and whimsy, blending detailed illustrations with imaginative designs. I was aiming to create stunning visuals that really take of shape and provoke the vivid colors of outer space to really shine through. Each page is crafted to evoke a sense of wonder and exploration, encouraging the viewers to dream big and reach for the stars. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to create a wonderful piece and have it dedicated to my brother who recently passed this year, 2024. His passion for the cosmos continues to inspire me, as I hope this Zine serves as a tribute to his adventurous spirit. I hope to inspire others to explore their own passions, just as my brother encouraged me to pursue mine. As I reflect on his memory, I am reminded of the infinite possibilities that lie ahead when we dare to dream.
