For my final artist I chose to study Lucinda Dilworth which I learned some things about in MadMapper. Lucinda Dilworth is a multidisciplinary digital artist whose work seamlessly integrates traditional painting techniques with digital technologies such as projection mapping, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence. Drawing inspiration from her Greek-British heritage and a background in business entrepreneurship, Dilworth explores themes of identity, surveillance, and the impact of technology on modern life. Her innovative approach challenges people to reconsider personal and societal boundaries in the digital age, how cool!

Even cooler, Dilworth's artistic journey began during her time at the University of Colorado, Boulder!! A back injury led her to reconnect with her creative side, experimenting with watercolors and digital art. She was introduced to MadMapper and was immediately captivated by its potential to transform static surfaces into dynamic, immersive experiences, just as I was! This fascination led her to develop her first collection of digital works, blending traditional and digital art forms.

One of Dilworth's notable exhibitions I discovered was Artificial Impression, held in London in 2023. Inspired by George Orwell's 1984, the exhibition delved into the interplay between digital identity and surveillance. Featuring 18 animated pieces, each work invited viewers to engage with the nuances of their digital selves, encouraging reflection on Orwellian concepts and the evolving nature of perception in a digital age.
