My website I created is an interactive choice-based game that lets viewers explore a seemingly simple dilemma - embark on a luxurious cruise filled with the allure of pools and casinos or stay home with your partner, who assigns you chores. The choices you make within this framework shape your experience, leading to varying outcomes that reflect the unpredictability of these real-life decisions!
The cruise, with its tempting offerings of leisure and indulgence, symbolizes escapism and the desire for instant gratification. Conversely, staying home represents commitment and the reality of daily responsibilities, which can sometimes feel mundane. These contrasting settings create a playful tension, inviting players to reflect on the value of choices and their long-term consequences.
Through my mix of humor and provoking scenarios, the game delves into themes of relationships, personal satisfaction, and more! Will the cruise be the dream escape you imagined, or will it take an unexpected turn? Will staying home deepen your connection with your partner or amplify your frustrations? My project combines storytelling and game mechanics into a simple design to engage players on a personal level. By immersing the viewer in this playful decision tree, I try to provoke reflection on how we navigate choices in our everyday lives and the unexpected ways they shape our experiences.
