Brainstorm Blog 3

For my third project this semester, I will portray the President of the United States, navigating a time of intense political unrest. As my story begins, a dramatic scene in my office starts with me in a deep thought weighed down by the gravity of a national crisis. Just as I am grappling with difficult decisions, my assistant enters, asking if I’m ready for a critical press conference where I must address the nation.

With my Secret Service detail, I walk through the halls toward the podium, the tension thickening as I approach and the crowd getting louder. I stand before them for a brief, silent moment, absorbing the chaos, (I'm thinking about 10 seconds). As I begin to speak and answer the first questions from the press, everything takes a sudden, deadly turn. A poison dart will strike me in the neck as I collapse into the arms of my staff, and my world fades to black.

At this point, my film transitions into a surreal, abstract animation sequence, representing a disorienting, dreamlike journey during my blackout. This 1-2 minute sequence will explore different animation styles, (mostly abstract) as I drift further into a state of wonder and craziness. When I finally wake up in a hospital bed, dazed and uncertain, the film will slowly fade out, leaving the conclusion open to interpretation.
