Brainstorm Blog 2

For this assignment I want to create an auditorial adventure that flows well with the effects I plan to use. I am aiming to create a 4 minute and 33 second auditorial landscape, (Shoutout to John Cage) that takes the listener through an adventure on a foreign planet. The idea behind this assignment is to provoke the listener to create wild imagery in their mind as they listen. I want my assignment to fade in slowly engaging the listener followed by the fade out which gives the listener time process what they just heard. In the middle of my track I want focus on leaving the listener questioning what they are listening to further provoking their imagination. I plan to use a wide variety of effects to achieve this goal.

I also intend to manipulate some of my audio clips, adjusting their pitch to create higher and lower tones that evoke otherworldly sensations. By experimenting with reverb and echoes, I will enhance the foreign quality of the sounds, making them feel unrecognizable and distinct from familiar auditory experiences. These techniques will help me build a rich, layered soundscape that not only immerses the listener in a different world but also invites them to engage deeply with their own imagination. Ultimately, I hope this auditory journey will leave listeners inspired to explore their own creativity and envision the limitless possibilities of sound and space.
